Up and Running, New Info

Wow, we have now been a textile art group for 18 years! We have had struggles through covid, losing a lot of our members. We now have a new permanant meeting location, at Everything Sew Nice, quilt shop, 2405-10 Diamond Lake Blvd, Roseburg, Oregon. so we no longer meet at members' houses. You can phone Laura at 541-236-7139 for directions to the shop. There is a very large classroom there, with new lighting, large cutting tables, and irons. There is space for us to grow our membership. Of corse for your shopping pleasure, there is fabric, thread and patterns and Bernina Sewing machines. Please come and join us for new fiber techniques, challenges, fabric dyeing workshops, and friendship and inspiration. Currently we are working on a challenge to do a mixed media collage from a flower closeup, with hand dyed fabrics, shiva oil pastels, watercolor pencils and sheer textiles and beading. We just finished a tree/landscape challenge, where we focused on texture for bark, leaves, rocks and water. If you are local please feel free to come join us. No dues, very informal.
